TuffStuff Fitness Equipment, Inc. and CrossCore, Inc Announce a Strategic Alliance to develop Fitness Training and Education Program designed for the new CT8 Fitness Training System

TuffStuff Fitness Equipment Inc., a worldwide leader in manufacturing commercial strength, functional training and sports performance equipment for over 41 years, announced today the formation of a strategic alliance with CrossCore USA, Inc. to develop and produce a training/education program specific for functional training on TuffStuff Fitness’ new modular and customizable CT8 Fitness Training System scheduled for delivery early December 2012.

“During the R&D phase of the CT8 project, we (TuffStuff Fitness) reached out to numerous commercial distribution partners in hopes of gathering valuable feedback and validation on our concept and design. Not only did we find the direction and design to be most favorable at that point, we also validated that developing and producing a training/education program, encompassing the various facets and modules of the system, was vital to the success of the product. Since the CT8 offers a combination of traditional, functional and sports performance training movements for either one on one training or into a unique, customizable circuit for any facility, an aspect we definitely wanted to incorporate was the dynamic Rotational Bodyweight Training™ pioneered by CrossCore, Inc. Once we got together with the team at CrossCore®, we knew the synergies already established between the two companies made this a perfect fit for creating the education and training pieces,” said Mike Ryser, National Sales Manager of TuffSTuff Fitness Equipment, Inc.

“The fitness industry is seeing a big push toward functional training leaving many longtime manufacturers of isolation type strength equipment looking for solutions to this new opportunity. CrossCore® was honored to be approached by Tuff Stuff and asked to be part of the design and education of their new CT8 rack. “It was refreshing to see a strength equipment manufacturer, such as Tuff Stuff, have the foresight to not only jump out of their comfort zone with a new project such as the CT8, but to also realize that education would play a big part in the products success.”, says J.P. Brice President of CrossCore, Inc. “From an accessory standpoint, the new CT8 demanded an entirely new direction in suspended bodyweight training; one that would not only expand on traditional bodyweight training exercises but would also take advantage of the racks multiple anchor points by doubling as a portable cable machine. The ability to perform pulley exercises such as cable crossovers and wood chops is certain to be a big hit with club owners. We’re proud that our CrossCore® Rotational Bodyweight Training™ product was chosen for this project,” adds JP.

The CT8 Fitness Training System was introduced by TuffSTuff at the recent Mr. Olympia Fitness and Performance Expo in Las Vegas, September 28th and 29th, and were joined by a team from CrossCore® and a couple of amazing members of BarHolics. Interest in the new system was very high and a substantial pre-production order list has been compiled. TuffStuff Fitness and CrossCore® will be producing a full length training and educational DVD and Training Manual that will be included with the purchase of any system configuration. As mentioned before, the target full launch for the system is scheduled for December 2012, although TuffStuff Fitness is currently taking pre-orders at the time this announcement is being made.
